2011 - SOUTH WESTOur 2011 RV trip was to the South West. One of our primary destinations was Las Vegas, NV and the 2011 CALLERLAB Convention. We enjoy this part of the country VERY much and look forward to any opportunity to visit. We left home on Saturday, March 12 and returned to Rockledge on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 We traveled 5,878 miles in the 73 days and visited eight states. We were able to add one more state to our "We have camped here" map. This trip was our first time to camp in Nevada. Our original plan was to travel through Oklahoma so we could add another state, however, with concerns for flooding and storms along our original route we decided to come home on the southern route. This was very close to the route we took on the way out. This year we were on the road from Thursday, April 11 until Friday, July 5; for a total of 86 days. Our final destination was Denver , CO. Along the way we visited family and friends and again marveled at the expanse and beauty of this GREAT country we call “Home.”
This year we covered over 5,000 miles. Our travels are mostly on the Interstate system, although there are a few times we take US, State, and some county hi-ways. Almost all the roads are in very good shape. Even so, there were also VERY few which were not so good.
