As of May 31, 2011 Jerry has stepped down from the position of CALLERLAB Assistant Executive Director. This move is part of the plan for the transition of the CALLERLAB office from Cocoa, FL to Topeka, KS.
Jerry joined the CALLERLAB Home Office Staff in late 1994. He moved into the position of Executive Director in June 1999 after having served as Assistant Executive Director for nearly five years. We have enjoyed our service to CALLERLAB during this time and have had some GREAT times and met hundreds of very nice people.
We have started our 2012 extended RV trip to the the Northwest. We plan to visit family along the way to Glacier National Park in Montana. We expect to travel nearly 7,000 miles. Wwe are looking forward to visiting Glacier, we have been close before, but THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST TRIP TO THE PARK.
As you can imagine we are glad to be "on the road again."
The 2012 CALLERLAB Convention was held in Nashville, TN. The convention is much more than just a gathering of callers. There are interest sessions for dancers and dance leaders as well.
We also invite you to attend any of the ARTS meetings. The ARTS is an alliance of the major square, round, and traditional dance organization. Please visit the ARTS web site to learn more at (ARTS-Dance.org) Please take a look to see what The ARTS is doing.
The last ARTS meeting was Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK immediately following the 62nd NSDC Pre-Convention.
The ARTS is an alliance of many dance organizations with the goal of increasing the number of dancers. The ARTS Board has approved funding an exciting project Proposed by Roy & Betsy Gotta. This project includes a web site and video/DVDs to help improve awareness of dancing to the non-dancing public. The project is complete and the information is available at the following web site www.You2CanDance.com. Information and video include Square, Round, and Contra dancing. We invite you to visit the site and also attend any of the ARTS meetings.

We are calling Plus on Tuesday nights at McClarty Center in Rockledge (7:30 PM).
We also call Advanced on Wednesday nights. We dance from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Eau Gallie Civic Center. The center is located at 1551 Highland Avenue, Melbourne.
We are calling C-1(Workshop) on Friday mornings in the Crane Community Center in Melbourne. Our last session this season will be Friday, March 23, 2012.
The 2012 CALLERLAB Convention was held in Nashville, TN in early April, 2012 . We would love to have you join us at a future CALLERLAB convention. Please let us know if you would like more information. The convention is MUCH more than callers discussing dance program lists and choreography. There are many interest sessions dealing with the major issues facing square dancing including marketing, promotion, retention, and other issues of interest to both caller and dancers.
