LATEST NEWS
We have settled in and recovered from our Three Month RV trip to New England and Nova Scocia, Canada. We do enjoy traveling, but it is nice to be home and back into our schedule.
As most of you know, in June 2009 Jerry Stepped down as the CALLERLAB Executive Director and moved into the position of Assistant. This should provide us the opportunity for more travel.
Our next adventure will be to Niagara Falls, NY in March for the 2010 CALLERLAB Convention. After the convention we are planning a brief (week or so) road trip to Canada.
We would love for each of you to join us at the CALLERLAB convetion. It is much more than just a gathering of callers. There are interest sessions for dancers and dance leaders as well.
We also invite you to attend any of the ARTS meetings. The ARTS is an alliance of the major square, round, and traditional dance organization. Please visit the ARTS web site to learn more at (ARTS-Dance.org) Please take a look to see what The ARTS is doing.

We are calling Plus on Tuesday nights at McClarty Center in Rockledge (7:30 PM) . We also call Advanced on Wednesday nights. We will dance from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Eau Gallie Civic Center. The center is located at 1551 Highland Avenue, Melbourne.
We meet at 6:00 PM at Eau Gallie (prior to the Dixie Diamonds) for a C-1 Workshop.
January 8 thru March 19, we will be calling C-1 (Class/dance) at the Crane Center in Melbourne at 9:30 AM. Click here for a map.
The 2010 CALLERLAB Convention will be held in Niagara Falls, NY on March 28 - 31, 2010. We would love to have you join us. Please let us know if you would like more information. The convention is MUCh more than callers discussing dance program lists and choreography. There are many interest sessions dealing with the major issues facing square daning including marketing, promotion, retention, and other issues of interest to both caller and dancers. The latest ARTS meeting was held Sunday, October 12, 2009 In Newark, NJ. The ARTS is an alliance of many dance organizations with the goal of increasing the number of dancers. The ARTS Board has approved funding an exciting project Proposed by Roy & Betsy Gotta. This project will include a web site and video to help improve awareness of dancing to the non-dancing public. The projewct is well underway; video has been shot to show the three forms of dancing (Square, Round, and Contra) The tentative schedule is for completion later this year. We will let you know how the project progresses. We invite you to attend any of the ARTS meetings.
The project proposed by Roy & Betsy Gotta will result in a web site and video which will be designed to provide information about dancing to the non-dancing public. The web site will be designed to entice people to learn more about the activity.

We are glad you are visiting our site. We would like you to join us at one of our dances. We dance the CALLERLAB Plus and Advanced programs. Please take a look at our schedule for a dance for you.
We are calling for the Canaveral Squares in Rockledge on Tuesdays - 7:30 to 9:30 PM. We dance Plus and Phyllis Williams is cueing for us. We would love to have you join us.
We are calling Advanced in Melbourne at the Eau Gallie Civic Center on Wednesdays. We start at 7:00 PM. If you dance the Advanced Program, we would love to have you join us.
Our C-1 group will be dancing Friday mornings (9:30 AM) in the Crane Center.

Jerry has been calling since 1978 and has been a member of CALLERLAB, The International Association of Square Dance Callers since 1983. Jerry is the Executive Director of CALLERLAB and the Executive Secretary of the CALLERLAB Foundation. Jerry calls for a Plus club, an Advanced club, and a C-1 club.
